Privacy and Personal Information

In order for you to post comments on this blog, we require you to give us a very small amount of information. You give us your e-mail address and you nominate a ‘handle’ or user name by which you will be identified on the blog.  This information is retained by the system. If you are concerned about being identified for any reason you may use a pseudonym.

If you do identify yourself, we will take all reasonable and appropriate steps to respect your privacy as indeed we are obliged to do under the Information Privacy Principles of the Privacy Act 1988.  We also follow the Guidelines for Federal and ACT Government Websites issued by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
